To the moon! Torani has released their Pourcast Flavor of 2024 and its out of this world…literally: it's Galaxy. Now, what does a flaming, incalculable mass of gas and rock taste like? Apparently raspberry and dark rum. The inspiration for this flavor came from a study conducted by a group of astronomers analyzing signals from Sagittarius B2, a dust cloud at the center of the galaxy. They hoped to find signs of life; complex molecules and amino acids that make up the building blocks of new life forms. Aliens, they found not, but they did find a compound called ethyl formate, a strange chemical that exists in both raspberries and rum.
Torani took the discovery of these astronomers and turned it into a fun cosmic flavor for your café in the new year. This syrup is best enjoyed iced in cold brews, iced matcha’s, lemonades, refreshers, and teas. Galaxy is a very versatile syrup. The notes of vanilla and berries pair well with many fruit flavors like mango and watermelon. As well as green tea, chocolate, and coconut. The combinations are almost as vast as the Milky Way!
Torani is continuously pushing and innovating with their flavor combinations, some more outlandish than others. Last year’s featured flavored syrup was Toasted Black Sesame, groovy! The year before that was Salted Egg Yolk, hot dog! There are no limitations in the world of coffee, any flavor or taste can be incorporated into a fun, space expanding seasonal beverage for you to serve in the new year. These are a few we’ve tested for you in our coffee lab.
