For the industry professional, baristas and managers, or the curious home brewer. In this class you’ll learn how to brew pour overs, french press, drip, cold brew and iced coffee to SCA standards.

Skill Level: Beginners with no experience to seasoned professionals.

Espresso Knowledge

Created for folks in the coffee industry, baristas and managers alike. This class is designed to give a thorough overview of espresso. You should leave this class feeling confident knowing how to dial-in a shot and understand the difference between under extracted, over extracted and balanced espresso.

Skill Level: Beginners with no experience to seasoned professionals.

Duration: 2-3 hours

 

Milk Steaming & Latte Art

This class is designed to teach coffee professionals how to steam high quality milk for making latte art, and use that milk to learn the basics of latte art fundamentals. After this class, you should feel confident that, with some good practice, you’ll be able to make crafty latte designs for your customers.

Skill Level: Beginners with no experience. Experienced baristas will not need this class.

espresso machine maintenance - Dilworth Coffee

Machine Maintenance

This class is designed to teach coffee industry professionals how to perform basic maintenance on espresso machines, grinders, kegs, and water filters. It also covers all the general end-of-day coffee shop maintenance. You should leave feeling confident on maintaining your general coffee shop equipment, with the knowledge to carry out daily and weekly cleaning tasks to keep your shop running smoothly.

Drink Creation

This class is designed for coffee professionals to explore and understand what a menu is, the effect it has on your shop, how to effectively build it, and properly cost out menu items. Learn how to take new or existing drink ideas and assemble them into a cohesive menu that is priced appropriately.

Cuppings

Calling all public citizens who want to learn how to cup coffee, why we cup coffee, and how to describe the coffee you're tasting. Come join us at our next cupping event, all you coffee-loving humans!

While we host some cuppings in our training center, we can also come to you. We can bring a private cupping to your coffee shop to display and taste a variety of our coffees alongside a coffee professional.

Skill Level: No prior knowledge or skill required.

Duration: 1-3 hours
