Peach Basil Tonic

The sun is shining, and peaches are ripening here in the sunny state of North Carolina. We’re highlighting the special fruit by pairing it with sweet basil and our excellent coffee! Feel free to use tonic water or soda water in this one, whichever you prefer. You could also swap out the molasses with brown sugar or even white sugar if you find the taste too strong.

Ingredients

  • 2 shots espresso
  • ½ scoop of ice
  • soda water
  • 1 pump Monin peach syrup
  • 1 tsp molasses
  • basil leaves
  • peach slice to garnish

Directions

  1. In a serving glass, add ice.
  2. Slap basil and add to glass.
  3. Top with soda water.
  4. Pull shots of espresso and add syrup and molasses to the shots.
  5. Stir and pour over spoon into serving glass (spoon prevents too much foaming).
  6. Add a few basil leaves and a slice of peach to garnish.
  7. Serve!
