Our Signature Espresso Blend: Dilworth Espresso
At Dilworth Coffee Provision Company, we’ve been roasting coffee with care and consistency since our humble beginnings in Charlotte, North Carolina. Every coffee roastery has that one coffee that defines their craft. For us, it’s Dilworth Espresso—our signature espresso blend. Designed with coffee shops in mind, this bold and versatile espresso is expertly roasted for a balanced, approachable profile that performs beautifully on its own or with milk and syrups. It’s the espresso we’re proud to put our name on.
Our Flagship Espresso Blend

This is the espresso that built our reputation. Bold, sweet, and complex, Dilworth Espresso features beans from Brazil, Indonesia (Sumatra), and Papua New Guinea. It’s crafted to be a reliable, go-to espresso—strong enough to cut through steamed milk and flavored syrups, yet refined enough to be sipped solo.
Papua New Guinea: Sweetness and Character
Coffee from Papua New Guinea offers a distinct profile that elevates this blend with fruity sweetness and a touch of wild character. Grown in small garden plots alongside other crops, the beans thrive in fertile, volcanic soils—many without the use of synthetic fertilizers. Our Papua New Guinea roast, named for the Lamari River region, adds brightness and depth to the espresso’s flavor.
Brazil: The Foundation of Bold Espresso Flavor
Brazilian coffee has long been the backbone of great espresso, and for good reason. It’s mellow, nutty, and rich—perfect for blending. When pulled as a shot, it delivers that thick, golden crema coffee lovers crave. In Dilworth Espresso, it forms the base of our bold espresso flavor and brings body, warmth, and balance to every cup.
Sumatra: Depth, Earthiness, and Complexity
We also chose Sumatra for this blend for its unique character and flavor profile. Sumatran coffee is processed in a unique way called wet-hulling or Giling Basah. The outer layer of skin is removed from the fruit immediately after harvest while they are still wet. Fermentation is allowed to happen for a short time in a sealed bag, about a day, and then the cherry is washed and dried. This unique way of processing, and volcanic soil, combined with the very particular growing climate and elevation, gives Sumatran coffee a flavor and aroma that is identifiable all around the world. The name Sumatra is so strong because the flavor and taste of the coffee is so strong. Fair enough, right? When it’s roasted properly and with care, there are notes of pipe tobacco, rich cocoa, dark earth, smoke, and cedar wood. Some growing areas produce beans that boast a greater acidity and even tropical fruit notes—adding to the complexity of this bold espresso flavor.
Built for the Bar
Whether you’re pulling a solo shot, crafting a creamy cortado, or building the perfect vanilla latte, Dilworth Espresso is your all-purpose, go-to blend. It creates a luxuriously thick crema, brings bold espresso flavor to milk-based drinks, and offers just enough sweetness to shine on its own. This is the espresso coffee shops come back to—again and again—for reliability, balance, and boldness in every sip.
