Smartfruit Aloha Shaken Soda and Tropical Smoothie - Dilworth Coffee

Smartfruit Aloha Shaken Soda + Tropical Smoothie

Summer may be over, but never in our hearts! This month we’re highlighting our line of Smartfruit smoothie concentrates. We carry a wide range of purees, but these two recipes use the Aloha Pineapple. Smartfruit is packed full of real fruit, made from 100% real fruit and zero added sugars. It’s also vegan and GF to accommodate the masses. Testing these recipes, we found the recommended ratio on the bottles generally isn’t sweet enough. So, we added a little bit of Monin’s Coconut Syrup to up the tropical flavors. Garnishing either of these drinks with a cute chunk of pineapple and a little umbrella is encouraged and always appropriate.

Shaken
This tropical shaken soda is so refreshing! We’re using the smoothie mix to make a bubbly tropical soda to keep you cool all year round. Seltzer and sparkling water both works great in this application. The theatrics with the metal shaker are a great show for your customers too. If using this in a drive through application, mixing with a tall metal bar spoon will accomplish the same task, but may take a bit longer. It’s sweet, tangy, bubbly, and will have you dreaming of your favorite beach out in the tropics.

Smoothie
This is the intended use for the smoothie puree, blended with ice. In the recipe card we’ve given the option of coconut milk or coconut water. Using coconut milk will add a delicious creamy tropical boost to the pineapple and banana in the smoothie mix. Coconut water will give the same flavor, but without the creaminess. We’ve given the option in case you already have one of these products on hand and they’re easy to add to the recipe. If storage is an issue, water will still give you a refreshing beverage.
