How Pre-Orders & Special Orders Work at Dilworth Pro

Running a coffee shop means planning ahead—and sometimes that means ordering items we don’t keep in regular stock. On Dilworth Pro, pre-orders and special orders make it easy to get exactly what you need without disrupting your workflow.

Here's how it works.

What Does Pre-Order or Special Order Mean?

Pre-order and special order are used interchangeably. These items aren’t stocked on a regular basis, but they are available to purchase. Once you place the order, we’ll bring it in for you and ship it as soon as it arrives at our warehouse. Browse our coffee and allied products today.

How to Place a Pre-Order or Special Order

Ordering is simple and works just like a regular Pro order:

  1. Add the item to your cart — If an item is marked pre-order or special order, just add the full case to your cart.
  2. Check out as usual — Payment is required at the time the order is placed.
  3. We place the special order for you — Unless we already have a shipment on the way, we'll order the item directly from the manufacturer.
  4. We ship it when it arrives — Once the item comes in, we'll send it your way and notify you when it's ready to ship.

Heads up: Lead times may vary by product and manufacturer, but most special orders take 7-14 business days. 

Important Things to Know Before Ordering

  • Special orders must be placed in full case quantities. (Case sizes vary by product and manufacturer.)
  • Orders cannot be canceled or modified once placed.
  • Items may ship free if your combined order meets our free shipping thresholds. (If not, standard shipping charges may apply.)
  • Special order items contribute to your cart total to help you reach volume discounts.
  • You'll receive a confirmation email and updates on availability.
