It’s officially the first full month of Spring, and you know what that means. It’s almost beach time! Here at Dilworth Coffee, the tepid winds of April bring a healthy dose of “Beach Bum Fever” and anticipation of longer, sunnier days. Although the crisp waters of the Carolina Coast still need a couple more weeks to heat up, there is no reason why we can’t go ahead and prepare ourselves for the sensations and flavors found on a warm, sandy beach.
So, we decided to put our wistful daydreams to good use and create a coffee that perfectly encapsulates the feeling of sunbathing with a refreshing drink in one hand and a good book in the other. We call it Island Time. It’s caramelly and smooth with a hint of vanilla, coconut and pineapple that transports you to the warm, sunny coast.
Try it black, it tastes a little like rum, although we swear, we didn’t spike it! Maybe add a little cream and sweetener to it for a little coffee piña colada. With a coffee this good, the possibilities are as endless as a white, sandy beach is long.
